The P&C plays an extremely important role in our school. Being a member offers some insight into what happens at school and why, and also comes with the opportunity to increase your involvement in your child's schooling and getting to know the people guiding their education on a deeper level. One of the major functions carried out by the P&C is to fundraise for the school. This enables the purchase of a number of items which directly benefit our students and which would not have been purchased by the school in any other way. The following is a list of some of the things that have been purchased by the P&C and donated to the school since the beginning of 2012:
- Screen doors on all of the classrooms
- Readers for the classroom
- New laptops for student use
- Blinds in the school library
- Blazers to be worn by students representing the school
- Year 6 farewell presents
- Subsidy of the DigiEd program
- Subsidy of bus to Science Engineering Day
- Repairs to the mud brick hut
- End of year gifts to teachers
- End of year books for each student
- Tennis court equipment
- Student insurance
- Removal of rubbish from the school grounds
It should be noted that none of these purchases would have been possible without the P&C. The students would simply not have access to these items.
