Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Barrington P&C Association is made up of a small group of like-minded parent and community members whose main objectives are to:

• Promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation
• Provide parents with the opportunity to meet and discuss the needs and aspirations of the school community; share information and views; help to shape school policies and programs.
• Assist in raising funds for the benefit of the school
• Operate the school uniform shop.

Membership is open to all parents and guardians of pupils attending the school and to all citizens within the school community.

Volunteer at our school

We encourage you to get involved and become an active member of our P&C. Your ideas, energy, and commitment are invaluable to us. Whether you can spare a few hours to volunteer at events, contribute your skills to our projects, or attend our meetings, your participation is highly appreciated.

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• helping in the canteen
• getting involved in the P&C
• listening to children read in the classroom
• volunteering on sports days and other school events
• helping supervise excursions.
